5.0 EFI/Renegade Fuel System
This 5.0 fuel system for the 1986-1993 5.0 Mustang (dual T-Rex) will flow up to 90 GPH @ 45 psig (at this level, up to 1100 hp can be supported at .50 BSFC). This constant duty pump assembly features superior reliability as well as excellent suction/self-priming abilities and lower pulsation at higher pressures. One of the greatest advantages is that the pumps will provide high fuel flow up to 125 psig. Other manufacturers "extruded heat sink" fuel pumps are not rated for flow past 70 psig (the Maxflow system outflows the competition's pump from 65 psig and above). The dual pump configuration is lighter and allows for better packaging on the vehicle due to its low profile (unit does not hang down below the bumper). All hoses, hose ends and fittings are NHRA legal

Included Components:
  • High-flow in-tank fuel pickup features mandrel bent 5/8" and 3/8" tubes. This design eliminates pump cavitation common with other manufacturers cast aluminum/pipe threaded style pickup units. Uses -10 and -6 AN fittings for easy connection to standard 37? JIC hose ends
  • Billet high-flow fuel filter with stainless steel reusable 10 micron element includes AN fittings, O-rings, brackets, clamps and hardware
  • Dual Vortech T-Rex fuel pumps with all hardware. Features rubber isolated mounting bracket for quiet operation
  • -10 pump feed and -8 rail feed hose (optional stainless steel braided hose with corresponding O-ring "swivel" hose ends)
  • -6 return hose (optional stainless steel braided hose with corresponding O-ring "swivel" hose ends)
  • Vortech 1/2" I.D. billet fuel rails featuring AN style O-ring fittings and polished/blue anodized coating. Dual feed rail plumbing design eliminates injector starvation common with single feed systems (all fittings and Y-blocks are included for dual feed/return plumbing)
  • Billet regulator adapter block with bracket. Allows use of stock Ford 5.0 style regulator
  • All necessary clamps, mounting hardware, brackets, hose ends and fittings (aluminum 37? JIC flare)
  • Complete fuel pump wiring harness with dual Bosch relays
Notes: Fuel systems are also available containing only one fuel pump for those customers with existing T-Rex fuel pumps from other Vortech applications
Notes: FMU adapter fittings (to tie into Maxflow fuel system) are available
Notes: If an FMU is to be used with the system, plumb it after the return port of the fuel regulator on the return line to the tank
